Getting Started
How do I schedule a consultation? What happens during the free consultation?
You can call, text, or email me with a request for a free consultation. During the call, we will have a chance to talk about what you’re hoping to work on, discuss my approach, and explore how I can support you. We’ll also review payment methods, scheduling, and what the first steps in therapy will look like.
What can I expect in the first session?
The first session, our intake session, will consist of my asking you questions to get to know you and your story more. This will be the start of us getting to know one another and build a rapport. We will also set goals and discuss ongoing scheduling.
How do I know if you’re the right therapist for me?
Finding the right therapist is an important part of the healing process. The best fit usually comes from feeling safe, understood, and supported. In our free 15‑minute consultation, you’ll get a sense of my style and how I approach therapy. Listen to your gut. If I'm not the best fit for you, that's ok!
My Approach
What is your approach to therapy?
My approach is really about partnership. We look at what’s been feeling heavy or overwhelming, explore the patterns behind it, and build practical tools that help you feel more grounded day‑to‑day. We move at your pace, and we work together to create meaningful, sustainable change.
Do you give homework or tools between sessions?
Sometimes, depending on the client's needs. I work to set goals and areas of focus between sessions to help you continue to grow day to day.
Safety, Privacy, and Boundaries
Is virtual therapy secure? Where do you keep my information? Absolutely! I only use HIPAA compliant software and platforms for my virtual sessions.
Can I do sessions from anywhere?
Anywhere in the state of Colorado where you have privacy and are able to speak freely. A good WiFi Connection is a huge plus!
What if I need crisis support?
I do not have a 24/7 crisis support. Any high risk clients have a safety plan in place with supports to access in the community.
Scope of Practice/Fit
Who do you work with? What concerns do you specialize in?
I work with adults who are struggling with depression, anxiety, trauma, relationships, etc.
Do you work with teens, couples, or families?
I do not work with anyone under the age of 18. I do not provide family therapy, or couple's therapy. However, sometimes a client will ask that a loved one attend a session or a brief series of sessions to help with their own progress, which I am able to work with.
What if I’m not sure what I need help with?
That's where our partnership comes in to help you identify any areas you want to improve. It becomes a conversation where you decide what is best for you.
